The mission of International Waterman (IW) is to provide an ocean activities related journal that doesn’t have the limited paradigm that most of the current and popular journals have. IW wants its readers to finish an issue with the same feeling that one has when walking out of a movie theatre after seeing a great movie. The stories will have substance, the images will be artistic works of excellence, and the entire content will be captivating. Very little or no advertising is planned - we’d like this to be a reader supported journal. The focus will be on people, places, waterman fitness, marine science, environmental awareness, and will have articles on all ocean related activities that are environmentally friendly. Lastly, and as the name implies, we’d like this to become an internationally distributed journal, one that crosses cultural and language barriers, as most ocean related activities do. We will strive to be an ethically and morally responsible company, giving back to the communities we serve and donating part of our profits to organizations whose missions are dedicated to saving our precious ocean resources, educating the worlds populations about environmental issues, and dedicated to protecting the world's environment, particularly the oceans. W'd also like to promote the Aloha spirit - something we can never have too much of. Tensions in the water these days are high due to the great number of people, and the fact is that if we all focus on why we're out there in the first place - to have fun for our mutual love of the ocean - we'd all have a much better time in the water.
